1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering or using EduSocket, your institution agrees to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
2. Nature of Service
EduSocket is a cloud-based School Information Management ERP system providing:
- Student data management
- Academic result processing & broadsheets
- Computer-Based Testing (CBT)
- Attendance tracking
- Fees & financial records
- Administrative & teacher portals
- Optional school landing page (Cyberspace)
3. Account Responsibility & Security
- Schools are responsible for safeguarding login credentials.
- All activities under an account are the institution’s responsibility.
- Passwords must not be shared publicly.
- Immediate notice must be given for suspected breaches.
4. Data Protection & Privacy
EduSocket processes student and staff data solely for educational management purposes. We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.
- Data belongs to the subscribing institution.
- We do not sell institutional data.
- Access is role-based (Admin, Teacher, Student).
- Schools must obtain parental consent where required.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
- No unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent use.
- No upload of malicious software.
- No manipulation of academic records for deceptive purposes.
- No attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the platform.
6. Subscription & Payments
- Plans may be monthly or termly.
- Failure to renew may result in temporary suspension.
- Freemium accounts may have feature limitations.
- All payments are non-refundable except where legally required.
7. Service Availability
While we aim for high uptime, EduSocket does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance may occur.
8. Intellectual Property
EduSocket software, design, and structure remain the intellectual property of Proximal Socket. Institutions retain ownership of their academic and institutional data.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, access to data may be restricted after a reasonable notice period.
10. Limitation of Liability
EduSocket shall not be liable for indirect damages, data loss due to user negligence, or external cyber incidents beyond reasonable control.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
12. Cyberspace Landing Page Policy
Schools using the EduSocket landing page feature must provide accurate institutional information. Content must be lawful, educational, and verifiable.
13. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
